Apparently Immigration Removal Centres have Customer Service departments. When I first heard this I thought that this was funny, but actually it highlights a much more sinister issue - the people detained there are "customers", albeit for a product that they do not want. The government is paying millions to private companies to detain them. Why do these unwilling customers get the blame for this colossal waste? Can't people see that this is a big business? It is these private companies that are "ripping us off" and "taking the piss".

Does no one think that it is odd that people detained in Immigration Removal Centres are given paid work opportunities whilst detained, although they have no right to work?
